Las Vegas casino visitors will be required to wear masks

According to the order of the Governor of the state of Nevada, masks must be worn in public areas. This means that visitors are required to wear masks at the casino, except when they are eating or drinking. The decree comes into force at noon on June 26.

Previously, the wearing of masks in casinos was not mandatory, although many establishments encouraged their use. This led to the fact that many visitors to gambling establishments went without masks, while casino employees were required to wear them. Social distance rules and other security requirements remain in effect.

The Executive order by Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak follows a similar decision made last week by California Governor Gavin Newsom. In southern California to visit the newly opened casinos and card rooms require you to wear masks.

In Nevada, as in several other States, there is an increase in the incidence of Covid-19. The Department of health and human services reported that 365 new cases were registered in the last 24 hours, which is the fifth indicator during the epidemic. A total of 14,362 confirmed cases and 494 deaths were reported in Nevada.

The ruling takes effect before the big weekend of July 4 (us Independence Day), during which a large number of visitors are expected to return to Las Vegas and Reno casinos.

Las Vegas casinos opened on June 4 after a long hiatus due to the Covid-19 virus.
