Business Link Regional Advisors Are Gone, Now What?

When Business Link scheduled to be closed by the government on November 2011, many small business owners and entrepreneurs may be wondering how to get support to start a business, information about running it and expanding and other support. Business Link 1,600 paid advisors are to be replaced by a network of unpaid mentors to offer practical advice, but what about the information provided by Business Link? Enter the Start-up Service and Growth and Improvement Service.

Those two services are designed to respectively offer tailor made advice and business information for new companies and established small businesses looking to grow. Considering the current status of the economy, bookmarking those two URLs to have access to free advice and resources is a wise move for any small business owner worried about what to do next. It’s still to see if this service will be as useful as the regional business advisors, which for some were an absolute waste of time and for others a much needed service, but it’s at least a step on the right direction of helping small businesses and entrepreneurs.
